You should expect your newborn session to last around two hours. While I work as quickly as possible, it sometimes takes time to soothe and pose baby! Patience is key!
I recommend coming prepared to feed and change your little one- sometimes we have to pause for a quick snack!
I have a large variety of props, blankets and wraps to choose from. You will be able to browse my collection and choose what you’d like to use for your session. You are more than welcome to bring anything special with you that you’d like included in the photos, but there is no pressure to bring anything at all! I have everything we need for a successful session!
Newborn Session
Newborn sessions are typically done in my studio, and best when taken within the first 14 days after birth. Babies are the most cooperative when they are newly born! They tend to sleep more frequently and can be easily curled up to pose. Although I recommend scheduling your session within that timeframe, it still works out wonderfully to take photos of your new baby after the first two weeks.

Watch Me Grow- First Year Package
Galleries are typically delivered within 3-4 weeks after your session. You will receive a private, online gallery. You may view your photos, download digital files and order prints from there. Further instructions will be included regarding your hardcover album.

Want to jump in a few photos with your baby? If so, I always recommend wearing lighter, neutral colors. Whites, creams, tans, and light blues, pinks and greens photograph beautifully.
Rather not be photographed? Come in your pajamas- I won’t judge :) I want you to relax and be comfortable while I’m photographing your baby!
What should I wear to my newborn’s session?
Sure! Photos with parents and older siblings are always included when desired. Want to keep the session to baby photos only? That’s okay too!
Are parent and sibling photos included?
Newborn sessions usually take around two hours. Patience is key and sometimes it takes some time to soothe and pose baby. But have no fear, I can usually get every baby to sleep and relax for photos!
How long do newborn sessions take?
No! I have a large variety of props to choose from! You are more than welcome to bring something of your own to include in the photos, but it is not required. I have everything we need!
Do I need to bring my own props?
Your personalized two hour session, use of my studio props and supplies, all fully retouched digital files on a USB and a custom designed 8x8 inch hardcover photo album are included in your fee.
What is included in the session fee?
